Tanveer Mann for Metro.co.uk

Coming soon to BBC 4, it’s “Lawnmower Man”. Sir Michael Caine plays a pensioner with a lawn mower out to make a difference in a cruel, uncaring world full of neglected motorways, tangled drainage ditches and uncut boulevards of broken dreams. The irrepressible Bill Nighy plays the evil MP, hot on the trail of freshly cut grass and determined to stop Lawnmower Man’s reign of terror and wanton rebellion. Will Lawnmower Man succeed in making England great once again? Will he reconnect with his estranged children? Will he remember to start cutting only after 9 AM and preferably after warning the neighbours – particularly on bank holidays? The fun starts September 19 on BBC 4. Be there!
