When I was a kid, I’d get a very dark tan every summer. Mum used to say: “You look like Omar Sharif.” I didn’t know who she was talking about. Years later, when I saw a picture of him, I thought I looked nothing like him – but we shared a tan. He was great in “Top Secret”. He will be missed.
