While I’m ecstatic at hearing the belated release of Bowie’s “The Gouster”, I was shocked and amazed that some of my favourite tracks from the Gouster sessions were left off. Hope to rectify that with my own version, including some live music from his 1974 “Soul Tour” (providing some context during this transitional phase from rock to the Philly soul sound) and a nod to his great performance of a “Foot Stompin / Shimmy Like Kate” medley on The Dick Cavett Show.
