When several angry passengers in third class get tired of the food, Captain America tries to upgrade them to first class, but Ed Harris sends Tilda Swinton, an army of axe-wielding henchmen and one unlucky fish to stop them while a post-apocalyptic ice age rages outside.
Verdict: one of the most original sci-fi films I’ve seen in awhile. Effectively blends satire, dark humour, action and cinematic art.
Been meaning to watch this one.

I always enjoy reading reviews on Snowpiercer. There are just so many different take-aways and feelings about it.

i think a lot of people who diss the film miss out on the black humor of it all… for goodness sake, a savior who eats people! rather, than a savior who is literally eaten (Christ!) — hahaha…

One of the most….scratch that. The only original review I’ve read in awhile. Short, sweet, genuine and to the point! 🙂

maybe if I’d known going into it that it was supposed to be satire….

Well done. Your review sums it up in a nutshell. I enjoyed the “action in a tin can” feel of the film. All of humanity trapped together on a single train. Makes me wonder which section I’d be in.
