This page is named after The Clash song. Apparently, the true meaning of the song’s title is unknown, since it is not mentioned in the lyrics. However, Joe Strummer has claimed it was about Mick Jones taking the train across town to see his girlfriend only to end up frustrated. Well at least he had good train service.
Come to think of it, if Joe Strummer was alive today he’d probably pen a tune regarding the injustice that is Southeastern Rail.
