Illustrated Edition of Anthony Zen is in the works!!

GREAT NEWS everyone!

FINALLY, I am working on a new illustrated edition of The Surreal Adventures of Anthony Zen!

I’ve found the ideal person to work with,Pradipta Mukherjee, who I contracted via Upwork. I think his art is a very good fit for what I envision. I like the clean lines, retro style and the creative flair – the perfect counter point to my absurd, surreal style.His art also suits the book’s theme – breaking free of modern life and trying to maintain an inner child / sense of wonder.

I’d like to share with you the process he went through, starting with the first draft and working his way to the final cover image. Have a look …

Pradipta is currently working on the back cover. Next, illustrations for inside the book.

This is something I have dreamt of doing since the inception of Anthony Zen, way back in 1989. Now I have plans for a graphic novel, based on my play “Bear Mask”, and another graphic novel based on Anthony’s continued adventures.
