The pony’s owner got a message from God. A massive flood was coming and he was to build an ark and lead the animals onto it two by two. The owner, concerned with the costs but wanting to be helpful, asked God if he could instead lead the animals one by one onto the 57 bus to Topsham. God, initially frustrated with this less dramatic gesture, reluctantly agreed, but was visibly angered when asked to help cover the fares.
