My John Hughes Moment

I went to see Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with three friends. I ended up drawn into the film in more ways than one – much to my embarrassment, at the time.

There was a scene where Ferris looks directly into the camera and says:

“Cameron is such a tight ass that if you stuffed a lump of coal up his ass it would turn into a diamond.”

My friends started laughing hysterically.

I’ll never forget that high school memory in the old Park Theatre in Goderich. Nor will I forget John Hughes, whose amazing soundtracks enriched my youth.
