As a general rule, you should speak to your employer early on about work conditions. If you’re told you’re going to be taking it up the ass, you may want to find out how often and by whom. By all means, discuss it with your family; it may affect them too. If you have any reservations, speak to your employer and work towards a mutual agreement that is comfortable for you while adhering with company procedures. With proper negotiation, management is likely to get behind you. Whatever you do, don’t go off half-cocked. Quitting, then jumping right into another job out of desperation, may put you into an entry-level position where you take it up the ass without warning; worst still, you will be in no position to negotiate. In conclusion, taking it up the ass isn’t for everyone. In life, there are those who will do anything for money and there are those proud few who would rather keep their scruples intact and trousers on. Whichever group you belong to, I hope your career is rewarding and you sit comfortably at night. I leave you with this sage advice from an expert on office life – “Watch out for your cornhole.”
