This raises some important questions and startling revelations. For example, if he wrote the note on the first day of his internship, how did he know he’d be “long gone” before the boss read it? It seems to me that somehow this intern had developed a precise correlation between Post-It note usage and the passage of time, thus enabling him to spring the note on his boss when he was free and clear of reprisals. I would think that this plan required a highly skilled, motivated, forward-thinking and patient individual who carefully observes human behaviour (i.e. Post-It note usage), makes precise measurements, uses data for accurate predictions, maintains composure in stressful situations, and conceals the truth until it is absolutely necessary to reveal it. In short, I think this intern will have a bright future in any position that requires concealing hand-written notes within piles of Post-It notes.
