In a sudden burst of inspiration and creativity, TFL staff banded together in an effort at making trains run smoother and faster. Square blocks of steel were not fit for purpose, so they chipped and chiselled away for months until them came up with something circular that rolled along on the tracks nicely. They hope to make many more of these and envision a day when all train cars will use them.
