It is indeed true that every cloud has a silver lining. I was VERY disappointed that the BBC flatly rejected my 12 hour long documentary on gravel entitled ‘Gravel – Don’t Take it for Granite’. Possibly THE most comprehensive exploration of the topic ever committed to film, it featured over a 1000 interviews with people who had various dealings with gravel. In addition, it charted the history of gravel from the wild days of the Precambrian period up through the ice age to gravel’s current position within the socio-political-cultural landscape of contemporary times. However, as I insinuated, things didn’t turn out too shabby after all. I’m proud to report that I have inked an exclusive deal with Apple and as you read this the entire documentary is being automatically downloaded, FREE of charge, to Bono’s iPhone.
