As a writer, editor, publisher and former teacher and biologist one of the most frequent questions I get is: “How do I know if I’m using a ladder properly?”
To clear up any ambiguity, I’ve created this simple check list. It features both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ examples of ladder use. Ideally, it should be consulted before you step onto the ladder.
Good:
Saving cat in tree
Cleaning windows
Shingling a roof
Bad:
Voyeurism
Burglary
Snake storage
Lastly, remember the cardinal rule of ladder use – do not ascend a ladder in the nude. Someone may be passing beneath you.
